North Andover School of Dance

North Andover School of Dance is a dance studio in Andover, Massachusetts. The studio has been in operation for fifty seasons and is led by Studio Director Debbie Lamontagne, who graduated from the Dance Teachers Club of Boston Education course in 1973 and is a 47-year member of that organization. Lamontagne became co-director of a dance school in Windham, New Hampshire while attending Castle Junior College, and took on the directorship of North Andover School of Dance and Gymnastics in 1986. Her early training took place in Lawrence, Massachusetts, with additional summer study under instructors including David DiMarie, Gene Murray, Gus Giordano, Diane Walker, Julia Boynton, and David Howard. She has taught every level from Preschool through Advanced, as well as special needs children and adults, and has choreographed school musicals, worked in afterschool and childcare programs, and brought students to perform aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Office hours run Monday through Friday from 9 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 9:30 pm, with Saturday hours from 9 am to 1 pm.

The studio sits on Belmont Street, just a short walk from Grogan Field, and is close to Sutton Street, the Shawsheen River, and Main Street.

Lamontagne's five decades of teaching and her recognition with the Village Hero Award from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children reflect a studio deeply rooted in the Andover dance community.
