Founded in 1985 by Judy Bruzeau, Pet Palace was established with a focus on treating pets and their owners like family. Judy Bruzeau led the business for decades, serving loyal clients who often brought multiple generations of dogs. Following a long battle with cancer, she passed the business to Jill Stier, who began working there in 1999. Jill and her staff of experienced groomers and bathers continue the tradition of treating pets like royalty.

The facility is designed as a free-roam environment where dogs can wander and play with others in both indoor and outdoor spaces, rather than being kenneled. This approach requires dogs to get along with others. For pets that do not fit this style, the business offers kennels or private suites. Prior to services, owners are encouraged to bring their dogs in for a meet and greet to determine if the free run style is suitable. Proof of vaccination is required upon arrival, and records can be sent via email or text.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it. This reputation reflects the consistent service provided by the staff over many years. Serving Metairie since 1985, Pet Palace Salon maintains its standing through dedicated care for local dogs.
