Cornerstone Child Development Center

Cornerstone Child Development Center is a preschool in Bossier City, Louisiana. It provides full-time childcare for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, a preschool curriculum for 2- to 5-year-old classes, and an after-school program for kindergarteners through 6th graders that serves Apollo Elementary, Stockwell Elementary, W.T. Lewis Elementary and Legacy Elementary. The center also runs a summer program with water slides, water play days, a video game truck, field trips and Vacation Bible School, along with regular daycare services. It holds a rating of 3.30.

The center maintains a Christian-based approach and a well-supervised, nurturing atmosphere. Laura Lee Leflett and Theresa Hunsicker own Cornerstone Child Development Center, and Ruth Badillo serves as director, with four years in childcare and three of them spent at a preparatory program. The curriculum draws on the Frog Street Philosophy to improve overall learning experiences, and programs are grouped as Bedrock Academy, Before & After School, and Summer Camp. Children develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually through the center's offerings, and parents and children can tour the facilities, meet caregivers, and learn about daily routines and programs. The center is open Monday through Friday from 6:15AM to 6:00PM and is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Cornerstone Child Development Center sits on Viking Drive, about half a mile from Mack's Bayou and the Joseph D. Waggonner Jr. Memorial Highway. Meadowview Elementary School and the Bossier Parish School for Technology & Innovative Learning are both within about a mile, and Shed Road Park and Swan Lake Road are a short distance away.

For families in Bossier City seeking childcare and early education grounded in a Christian-based setting, Cornerstone Child Development Center pairs full-time care and preschool classes with after-school and summer programs that reach children well beyond the preschool years.
