Tim Padgett, the owner, began his detailing career in the summer of 1976 at Standiford Field in Louisville, Kentucky, where he detailed corporate and private aircraft. In the early 1980s, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, to serve as Chief Appearance Technician, working exclusively for Jet East, a top ten ranked Fixed Base Operator and home to the Dallas Cowboys corporate jet. He was responsible for the interior and exterior appearance of in-house jets and transient clients. Mitsubishi Aircraft Company commissioned his services to polish metal surfaces on new Diamond Jet and MU2 models, treating their rubber de-ice boots with a specialized aviation rubber treatment. These aircraft were sold worldwide, exposing the aviation industry to the exclusive product line he created. In the late 1980s, Padgett founded PadJet Aviation, eventually partnering with CitiJet. He opened PadJet at CitiJet, handling all exterior and interior detailing services for the VIP clients based at that prestigious Fixed Base Operator. PadJet Aviation Products have been applied on commercial, corporate, and private VIP aircraft globally.
