In 1960 he was asked by Phillips Petroleum Company to become a Phillips 66 dealer at Klondike and Hikes Lane, and in 1961 he moved from 18th and Oak to Hikes Lane to take on that role. After returning from the Vietnam War, Bill Jr. joined his father in the early 1970s and bought the company from him in 1979, the same year the property at 3935 Bardstown Road was purchased to open the current auto service center. Today the service department is run by Bill Jr.'s three sons, David, Bryan, and Brent, marking the third generation of Etscorn's. The shop staffs ASE-certified suspension experts and works to keep prices down by helping customers take advantage of every available discount, including free alignment with any tire purchase. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with weekends closed.

The shop sits on Bardstown Road, about 0.2 miles from the YMCA and from Buechel Bypass, with Hikes Lane roughly 0.6 miles away, the same road where Bill Sr. once operated his Phillips 66 station.
