Wellnitz Tree Care

Wellnitz Tree Care is a tree service in Topeka, KS, serving Topeka, Emporia, Lawrence, Kansas City, and surrounding areas. The company provides expert tree trimming, removal, and plant health care services, and holds a rating of 4.90 from its customers. Services include tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, tree cabling and bracing, tree disease and insect control, tree restoration, tree preservation, storm damage cleanup, land clearing, and grapple truck cleanup. Wellnitz Tree Care also offers arborist consultations and operates a preventative plant health care program called ArborThrive, which provides ongoing maintenance for trees and shrubs. The Tree Care Academy teaches homeowners how to care for their own trees. Their process begins with a free bid, followed by the service work and a satisfaction check on the completed job. The company takes a diagnostic-first approach, describing itself as solving problems before bringing in a saw. Tree health care is their stated passion, and they take a holistic view of each tree and its surrounding environment. For arborist consultations, Wellnitz Tree Care sends an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and/or a Registered Consulting Arborist to the property to assess the situation and make recommendations. They perform tree assessments for insurance companies, conduct tree risk assessments, and assist in legal proceedings. They use integrated pest management solutions rather than blanket treatments. For larger jobs, their grapple truck combines a 68-yard truck with a 60-yard trailer to haul large volumes of debris in a single trip, and is also available for out-of-state storm and hurricane response. Land clearing projects are customized, with options to preserve specific trees while clearing others. The office sits on SE Lakewood Blvd, about a tenth of a mile from Lakewood Park and roughly a quarter mile from Woodall Park. The Kansas Department of Transportation District 1 office and a Materials & Research Center are each about a third of a mile away, along South Kansas Avenue and Southeast 21st Street. With a 4.90 rating from customers who have reviewed the business, Wellnitz Tree Care has earned strong feedback across its work in the Topeka area, where its certified arborists handle everything from routine pruning to complex removals and land clearing projects.
