KC Pools of Shawnee

KC Pools of Shawnee is a pool service in Shawnee, KS. The company builds inground swimming pools and provides ongoing repair, service, and maintenance for residential customers in the Kansas City metro area, covering both Kansas and Missouri. It specializes in fiberglass pools and vinyl liner pools, and also handles liner replacement, pool opening and closing, leak detection, plumbing issues, pool inspections, and equipment repair and replacement. Established in 1967 and family-owned and operated, the business has been serving the area for nearly 60 years and has installed thousands of pools throughout the region. Financing is available on construction projects, and free in-home design consultations are offered. The company holds a rating of 4.20 from customer reviews.

Originally known as Poolscapes by Esther Williams and later KC Pools by Esther Williams, the company has operated under local family ownership for generations. Its approach is deliberately hands-on: each pool project is treated as unique rather than fitted to a standard template, and the staff works closely with customers to choose between fiberglass and vinyl liner construction based on the homeowner's needs and lifestyle. The construction work emphasizes energy-efficient designs, low-maintenance solutions, and modern technology aimed at long-term pool ownership. On the service side, the experienced department handles repairs and equipment work using parts and gear from industry manufacturers including Pentair, Jandy, Hayward, and SR Smith. A local store carries a wide selection of vinyl liner patterns and colors, and the team provides expert liner installation as part of its replacement work.

The Kansas City metro operation is located at 509 E Kansas City Rd.

With decades of continuous family ownership and thousands of pools installed across the metro, KC Pools of Shawnee brings a depth of experience to fiberglass and vinyl liner construction that few local builders can match.
