Turner Flowers & Country Store is owned by Shawn, Lyle, and Kathy Turner and traces its history to 1936, when Lyle's father, Ralph Turner, opened a greenhouse on the farm the family still calls home. More than 85 years later, the shop provides fresh flowers and plants for meaningful occasions. Beyond fresh flowers of every size and kind, it offers tropical plants, seasonal bedding plants, and a range of succulents that Lyle grows in the greenhouse on the farm.

The shop also provides grave decorating services for families whose loved ones are laid to rest in Franklin County cemeteries. This includes placing flowers or wreaths when family members cannot visit in person, fresh or permanent holiday wreaths at Highland Cemetery for the Christmas season, wreaths at the Veterans' Memorial at 4th and Main, regular seasonal installations throughout the year, and remembrances for birthdays, anniversaries, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day.

The store sits on South Main Street in historic downtown Ottawa, steps from Haley Park and about a tenth of a mile from the Franklin County Courthouse, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Legacy Square Park, and the Onward Ottawa public artwork.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 5, with Saturday hours of 9 to noon, extended to 9 to 3 on holiday weekends such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day and between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The shop is closed on Sundays.

Customers describe the service as helpful and kind, with staff taking time to describe options and help choose the right item for the occasion, and note that the crew accommodates last-minute requests.
