Roverwood Ranch is a locally owned and operated dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in Leavenworth, Kansas. Mark Higley founded the business in 2013 after years of planning and working in the industry. After his passing six months later, his brother Glen and sister-in-law Sharon took over to continue his vision. Since opening, the ranch has cared for over 7,000 dogs. The facility offers overnight stays, day play, and grooming. Overnight stays provide safe, comfortable boarding in suites with glass fronts and solid sides, avoiding wire cages. Day play allows dogs to socialize in climate-controlled indoor spaces or on outdoor areas covered in soft, squishy artificial turf. There are four indoor/outdoor play areas separated by size and temperament. All outdoor areas are sanitized nightly to remove mud, sticks, dust, or rocks. The entire property is enclosed by an 8-foot fence. Specially trained Ranchhands supervise all group play to ensure safety and healthy interaction. Owners can watch their pets via webcams installed in the play areas. Grooming services are provided by staff with over 50 years of combined experience.

The business operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a closure from noon to 1 pm. Saturday hours are limited to 10:00 am to noon and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, which are boarding drop-off and pick-up times only. The ranch is closed on all major holidays, including New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Due to limited space, daycare is not available the week of Spring Break or the week between Christmas and New Year's for dogs not boarding with them. Tours are available during normal business hours without an appointment.
