4th Generation Flooring

4th Generation Flooring is a flooring contractor in Zionsville, Indiana, specializing in hardwood flooring. The company installs raw wood, prefinished, engineered, and laminate wood flooring, along with trim and stair treads. It also sands and refinishes new raw wood and existing or prefinished flooring, and handles wood flooring repairs, from replacing a single board in the middle of a room to adding wood in another area of a house to match existing flooring.

The business is led by owner Cody Griffith, whose great-grandfather began a hardwood flooring company in central Indiana in 1946. Cody learned the trade working alongside his father and grandfather, and he brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience to the work. The company combines old school knowledge and craftsmanship with modern technology and customer service. Hardwood flooring is the only work the company does, a deliberate choice to specialize rather than offer tile, carpet, or laminate. The same person who estimates a floor stays with the job through completion, which the company describes as cutting out middlemen and misunderstandings. Sanding and refinishing use equipment designed to minimize dust and cleanup. The company's services cover installations, sand and refinishes, and repairs.

The shop sits on West 96th Street in Zionsville. Irishman Run and Shamrock Brook are both within about a tenth to two tenths of a mile, the Goldman Union Camp Institute is roughly a tenth of a mile away, and Starkey Nature Park is about 1.2 miles from the location.

With more than two decades of hands-on hardwood experience and a family trade dating to 1946, 4th Generation Flooring brings a single-specialty focus to Zionsville homeowners.
