St. John Pool Center

St. John Pool Center is a pool service in St. John, IN, specializing in above ground pool sales and installation, pool maintenance and repairs, and pool accessories and equipment. The business sells pumps, chemicals, covers, and liners, and serves customers throughout the St. John area. It holds a rating of 4.50 from its customer reviews.

The shop was started in 1972 by John and Marilyn Monos, who purchased a former appliance store and converted it into St. John Pool & Auto Center. The Monos family continues to run the business today, with their sons handling pool installations and service repairs and their daughter providing guidance on pool care in the store. That hands-on, family-run approach has kept loyal customers returning year after year. Over the decades the business has sold and installed both in-ground and above ground swimming pools as well as hot tubs, and it now focuses on above ground pool sales and installation and in-ground liner replacements. The staff services and repairs pool filters, pumps, heaters, and plumbing on both above and in-ground pools, and the retail store carries a full line of pool chemicals, equipment, parts, and maintenance products, along with a large selection of pool floats, toys, and games. Every customer receives a free water analysis with detailed care instructions. All installations are performed in-house by the Monos family rather than outsourced.

The store sits on Wicker Avenue, about a fifth of a mile from the St. John Branch Library, roughly a third of a mile from Civic Memorial Park, and within half a mile of the Saint John Town Hall, the Saint John Post Office, and Prairie West Park.

The positive rating reflects the steady customer base built by more than five decades of family ownership and the hands-on service the Monos family is known for. Long-running family roots and in-house installations in St. John remain the backbone of the business.
