GenerX is a Generac dealer and the company's work centers on backup power rather than generators as a side offering. It handles residential generators, industrial backup generators, and business generators, and its services cover generator installation, maintenance, service, and repair. The company was founded by Mark Costis and has served customers for more than 20 years, completing over 20,000 installations. In 2023 it expanded to Nashville and Memphis. Everything is done in house, from sales and permitting to installation and long-term maintenance, with no subcontractors. Its team includes President Mark Costis, Assistant to President Suzanne Ferro, Chief Operating Officer KJay Autullo, and Vice President of Sales David Dumphy. The company carries an exclusive Power Plus Warranty offering 12 years of full coverage that includes labor, travel, parts, and major components, and is transferable for added home value. It has been designated a Generac PowerPro Dealer for six consecutive years, and in 2025 became the first company to earn Generac's newly introduced Prestige ranking, the highest dealer tier. Free estimates and proposals are standard, and the process runs from tailored site visits through permitting, installation, inspections, utility coordination, and long-term service. Technicians are backed by a fleet of service vans and a warehouse stocked with Generac repair parts.

For Portage residents weighing backup power, a Generac dealer with more than two decades of installation experience and a 5.00 customer rating brings established expertise to the work.
