Matt Shaw's path in residential design began before he finished high school, when he was already drafting projects for teachers and placing in the top 35 statewide for best architectural house design. He went on to work at an architecture and engineering firm immediately after graduation while continuing his college studies, where he placed second in his class for best presented and designed residential homes. ShawCADesign was formed in 2000, and over the past 25 plus years the firm has become well known throughout Indiana for its residential drafting work. Matt holds a degree in Architecture and Engineering. The firm has designed homes for six BAGI Home a Rama events, including a Best in Show win in 2014, People's Choice awards in 2015, 2016, and 2025, and an additional showcase home in 2013 and 2018. The team includes CAD technicians Will Shaw and Brooklyn Silvers, who also handles office administration, while Drew Shaw provides facilities assistance.

The office sits on South 10th Street, near its intersection with Greenfield Avenue. Stony Creek Elementary School is within walking distance to the west, and Seminary Park and Southside Park are both nearby. Fire Station 71 is also a short distance away on South 10th Street.

ShawCADesign works with a long roster of Indiana builders and boutique home designers, and testimonials from architects Steve Zintel of Summit Design Group and Henry G. Meier speak to Matt's command of AutoCAD and his reliability on contract drafting and detailing work. The firm will be showcasing at the 2027 Indianapolis Home Show, and a Home a Rama project at Bradley Ridge is on the horizon. With 25 plus years of residential design behind it and a record of recognition at Home a Rama, ShawCADesign remains one of the established custom home drafters serving Noblesville and the wider Indiana building community.
