TechWise Academy

TechWise Academy is a tutoring service in Muncie, IN, dedicated to teaching coding, robotics, game design, and computer science to K-12 students. The academy offers both online and in-person classes that focus on practical, hands-on learning. Students engage with technology by building real projects, exploring creative problem solving, and developing confidence through curiosity. The curriculum includes specific tracks for Scratch, Robotics, Game Design, and Python, designed to help young creators test ideas, debug code, and learn from mistakes. Parents receive practical next steps for continuing the learning process at home, while students gain a supportive environment where errors are viewed as a natural part of the creative process.

The learning approach emphasizes that children retain more when they can test ideas, debug, and try again with support. Coding becomes approachable through games, robots, animations, and creative challenges, allowing students to use technology as a medium for expression, problem solving, and collaboration. TechWise Academy maintains a lending library of classroom-ready kits, offering age-appropriate robotics, coding, drone, app development, and creative technology kits for both K-5 and 6-12 grade ranges. Families can access free resources for young coders, including grade-level starting points and trusted tools such as Code.org, Scratch, Scratch Jr., Microsoft MakeCode, and LEGO Education. The academy also facilitates school partnerships, coding clubs, and scholarship inquiries, connecting families with current class offerings through a centralized hub.
