Cole Academy has operated in Muncie since 1948, making it one of the longest-standing studios of its kind in the Midwest. Owner and director Tracy Navas has led the program since 2007, with Terressa Burtner serving as artistic director and Mandee Carroll as gymnastics director. Instructors are pursuing or hold degrees in performing arts, sports medicine, and related fields, and all staff pass background checks before employment. Students can try a free class before registering, and most move between activities such as recreational dance, competitive dance, boys gymnastics, Ninja Zone, cheer tumbling, and summer camps to find their niche. Birthday parties and an introductory trial class are also part of the offering.

The Morrison location sits on West Woods Edge Lane, about 0.6 miles from The UPS Store, 0.7 miles from Concentra Urgent Care, 0.8 miles from the YMCA Northwest Muncie, and roughly a mile from West Bethel Avenue, with the Eastern Indiana Works / WorkOne office about 1.2 miles away. This address opened in 2018 and is home to the Twisters Gymnastics Team and the Cole All-Star Cheerleaders, housing all cheerleading, tumbling, and warrior classes, along with intermediate and advanced recreational gymnastics and beginner gymnastics for ages seven and up. The facility contains two separated gyms, a cheer and tumbling area, a party room, reception, and a viewing area.

A 4.70 rating from the families who have reviewed the studio reflects a long-running program that has introduced several generations of Muncie children to dance, gymnastics, and cheer.
