Kliss Electronics

Kliss Electronics is an electronic service center in La Porte, IN, that repairs consumer electronics for residential customers across northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan. The business services TVs of all types, including flat-screen, tube, and console models, as well as VCRs, Blu-Ray and DVD players, home theater systems, vintage audio equipment such as record changers and console stereos, and microwaves. Customers can bring units into the shop or arrange in-home service and pickup and delivery on most products.

Established in 1971, Kliss Electronics offers both in-warranty and service-contract work and services all brands of consumer electronic products. The business stocks OEM-quality Philips and Osram replacement lamps for DLP and LCD projection TVs, along with cords, remotes, manuals, stands, and an extensive selection of vintage audio and video parts. Customers needing items not normally stocked can place special orders, and the business will price-match advertised prices of non-sale, like items from retailers within 25 miles. Kliss Electronics also transfers non-copyrighted content from tapes and film to digital media such as CDs, DVDs, and memory sticks. Service requests can be made online or by phone, and repair visits begin with brand, model, serial, and chassis information to speed the process.

The shop sits on Washington Street in downtown La Porte, roughly a tenth of a mile from the La Porte Post Office and Lincolnway, about two-tenths of a mile from Northwest Health La Porte hospital and Indiana Avenue, and around three-tenths of a mile from the Northwest Health Heart & Vascular Center and LaPark Playground.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Central Time for carry-in visits by appointment, with on-site service offered Monday through Saturday by appointment. Kliss Electronics holds a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on 2 reviews.

For four decades in northwest Indiana, Kliss Electronics has handled the kind of repair work and media transfer that keeps older home electronics and family recordings in working order.
