The campground sits on a 6-acre lake known as the Pay Pit, which is stocked regularly with farm-raised channel catfish and also holds Flathead Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, Bass, and a Flathead Catfish nicknamed "BIG JOE" that is estimated at roughly 100 pounds. Fishing is available around the clock, and no state fishing license is required. The property offers 85 seasonal sites that allow 70 nights during the operating season, 9 full hook-up sites suited to monthly and winter stays, 12 pull-through sites for single nights or weekends, and tent sites; every site includes water and electricity. An in-ground swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and the grounds also feature a large playground and a bait shop carrying snacks, camping supplies, clothing, and live bait and tackle.
The campground was established in 1965 and expanded in 2001 with the addition of the Pay Pit lake. Mike and Christi took over ownership in April 2025. Its season runs from April through November, and visitors can reach downtown Kokomo in about 10 minutes, with Indianapolis roughly an hour away.
