Painter Pro was founded in November 2015 by Sam Reuter, who grew up around the trades as a third-generation contractor; his grandfather worked as an electrical contractor and his father as a plumbing contractor. Reuter started by knocking on doors for a lawn care business with his cousin, then added painting, which became the main source of work for a couple of summers. He later spent about five years at a local lumber company, working his way up from framer into sales and management, and took on painting projects on weekends for a little over a year before going full time in the spring of 2017.

The company offers a color visualizer and a free touch-up program, and backs its work with guarantees. Customers describe Reuter following up weeks after a job to confirm satisfaction, keeping clients informed when rain delayed an exterior commercial project, and walking through each project at completion. Reviewers in Plainfield, Martinsville and Bloomington note careful, timely work and crews that check before making decisions, and several say they would hire Painter Pro again.

Painter Pro operates from Homestead Cir W in Avon, with service reaching Plainfield, Danville, Mooresville, Brownsburg and the communities around Martinsville and Bloomington.

Its rating across more than 3,600 reviews reflects a painting contractor that has built its following in Avon and the surrounding Hendricks County communities since 2015.
