Wellyhaus

Wellyhaus is a Florist in Winnetka, IL, located at 928 Green Bay Rd. The business provides hand-tied bouquets, exclusive ceramics, and a curated collection of home and garden finds, including vintage pieces. Founder Kate Higgins started the venture in the summer of 2020 after encountering a roadside flower stand in Martha's Vineyard in 2019. A friend built the self-service stand and attached a money box, allowing the business to begin with hand-tied bouquets on Saturday mornings. The stand quickly gained popularity among neighbors, families, and pet owners. Higgins noticed the bouquets looked better in the right vase, so she designed custom ceramics. She collaborated with Melissa Monroe Pottery in Mokena, Illinois, to produce vases purposefully designed for floral and tabletop use.

The business expanded its offerings to include branches and blooms by the stem, with premade bouquets available on Fridays on a first-come, first-served basis. Wellyhaus has since opened a brick-and-mortar shop featuring a full line of vases and ceramics alongside a curated inventory sourced through years of travel. The collection includes items for the flower shop, furnishings, decor, kitchen and utility, dining and tabletop, tea room, library, garden, and vintage and antique categories. The shop invites visitors to explore its entire collection of curated goods in Winnetka, Illinois.
