The company was founded in 1982 by Chris Vuko, who started the business out of his garage. The name has remained the same since incorporation. The same crews handle jobs from start to finish, with no subcontractors used. Customers who call reach a real person in the Tinley Park office directly, not a call center. The company responds within five minutes during business hours.

Excel Windows is an A+ BBB accredited firm since 1993 and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm. It offers energy-efficient replacement windows, entry and patio doors, showers, walk-in tubs, and full remodels. Products include ProVia and Soft-Lite premium lines, LP SmartSide and CertainTeed vinyl siding, and Onyx or acrylic showers. Roofing systems come from GAF and Owens Corning. Most projects take six to eight weeks from first call to install day.

The company has two showrooms, with Oak Lawn and Glendale locations consolidated into one Tinley Park showroom. The showroom is open to the public and features displays of products. Customers can walk through Onyx and acrylic showers, test entry doors, and hold siding samples. The business emphasizes honest assessments, fair pricing, and written proposals without high-pressure sales tactics. Repeat and referral work make up most of its projects.

Customer reviews highlight professionalism, quick completion, and minimal debris. Roman and Joshua converted a tub/shower combo to a walk-in shower with sliding glass doors and replaced a vanity top. Erik and Francisco renovated a bathroom beautifully. Another customer replaced windows and a French door, praising the team’s kindness and helpfulness. A tub-to-shower conversion and comfort height toilet installation were also completed. Chris Vuko still runs the company, and the same installers return job after job.
