The estate spans 100 acres and operates on land recognized by the State of Illinois as a Centennial Farm for over 150 years of continuous family ownership. James Sullivan and his son Jeremiah emigrated from Ireland to New Berlin, Illinois, establishing the original farmstead. The modernized farmhouse remains the heart of the property. In 2006, a tornado destroyed the original farming structures. Susan Danenberger, a fifth-generation steward and graduate of the Viticulture and Enology program at UC Davis, and her husband Doug transitioned the land from corn and soybeans to grapes. Danenberger Family Vineyards officially opened in September 2013.

Susan produces dry, artisan reds and bourbon-barrel-aged wines using a "Liquid Art" philosophy. The venue features three distinct music stages, including a Wine Rocks stage built from repurposed industrial shipping containers that hosts live music. Guests can visit the After Dark Lounge, the dedicated Bourbon Bar, and a lifestyle boutique featuring local artisan artwork, custom apparel, wine accessories, and home décor. The estate includes a silo gazebo. Walk-ins are welcome during regular hours, and the site provides ample free on-site parking for buses and limos.
