Craftstone Architects Inc. of Romeoville

Craftstone Architects Inc. of Romeoville is an architecture firm in Romeoville, IL. The practice works with clients on residential and commercial projects, with named specialties that include home architectural renderings, commercial architectural renderings, new homes, remodels and additions, exterior spaces, and interior spaces. Services run from an initial no-cost, no-obligation design consultation through design development, construction documents, construction administration, project and code analysis, public meetings and zoning variations, and hourly consultation, allowing clients to select any level of involvement from feasibility work to complete services.

The firm was founded by Mike Buhr, who serves as president and owner. Buhr graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1988 and spent the next twelve years working under several award-winning architects before establishing the practice. He holds the credentials AIA, ALA, and NCARB. The firm works to promote clear communication with clients, produce energy-efficient and budget-conscious designs, guide clients through design decisions, and prepare detailed drawings that reduce field changes. Design development work is presented through 2D plans and elevations as well as 3D drawings. The team includes Architectural Associates Eric Oleson (a Southern Illinois University Carbondale master's graduate who joined the firm in 2014 and previously served on the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission for nine years), Erik Pedersen, Miguel Perez, Brandon Sfikas, Sara Serrano, Ariana Martinez, Zaideh McDermott, and Jess Buhr as office manager.

The office sits in the Busey Bank building at 14150 South Route 30, Suite 201, on the second floor of the two-story red brick structure with white columns, just north of 143rd Street on the west side of Route 30, also known as Lincoln Highway.
