Auto Clinic Of Rockford

Auto Clinic of Rockford is an auto repair shop in Rockford, IL, founded in 1982. The shop operates as a NAPA AutoCare Center staffed by ASE-certified technicians who handle brakes, cooling systems, engine repair and diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Battery replacement, belts and hoses, cabin air filters, check engine light diagnosis, coolant and antifreeze service, and suspension work round out the standard offerings. The shop also handles specialty work that sets it apart from many independent facilities, including flywheel resurfacing, brake drum and rotor resurfacing, differential rebuilds and gearing ratio changes, carburetor rebuilds, drivetrain rebuilds, distributor repairs, and rewiring harnesses for classic cars of all types. Hours run Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm, and most parts and services carry a one-year NAPA warranty along with a 24 month/24,000 mile Nationwide Warranty.

The shop goes beyond general repair into manufacturer-level computer work. Owner Brad holds an LSID with NASTF, making him a licensed locksmith for key programming on most makes and models, and the shop maintains factory scan tools in pairs for Chrysler (WiTech and DRB3), GM (Tech 2 and MDI), and Ford (IDS and MGS), plus Launch tools for European and Asian models. Those tools allow the technicians to perform vehicle computer programming, security relearns, and software updates that many shops have to send out. Financing is available through the NAPA EasyPay Credit Card, and the shop works with aftermarket warranty companies on behalf of customers. It holds a rating of 4.90 based on customer reviews.

The shop sits at 4109 E State St, on East State Street near the Illinois Secretary of State Rockford Central Facility, Rockford Christian Elementary School, and Rockford Christian Schools, with Keith Creek and the Fairview Shopping Center also close by.

Serving Rockford drivers for more than four decades, Auto Clinic of Rockford combines dealership-level diagnostic capability with the breadth of an independent shop that handles everything from routine oil changes to full engine overhauls.
