Rock Solid Inspections

Rock Solid Inspections is a home inspector in Rock Falls, IL. The company provides inspections for residential and commercial properties and also offers radon testing, serving the Peoria and Central Illinois areas. Its services include residential home inspections, commercial building inspections, walk-through inspections, and consultation inspections. Consultation work covers prioritizing home improvement options before a remodel or renovation and pre-listing inspections intended to smooth a closing. Radon testing is available for residential homes, commercial buildings, schools, and day cares, using a continuous monitor, and a mitigation system is recommended when a result reaches 4pCi/l or higher. The business holds a rating of 5.00.

Inspector Perry Kieser brings a long background to the work. After graduating from high school he farmed in Stark County, Illinois, for 26 years, and during the farming off-season he worked construction for a local builder. He and his wife later started their own small construction business, A to Z Improvements, Inc. In the summer of 2006 the family left farming and Rock Solid Inspections was founded. Perry completed and passed the coursework for his home inspector license in January 2007 and soon after added his radon measurement license. He has been a contractor and carpenter for over 35 years and a home inspector for 14 years. He draws on the organizing and business management skills from farming along with his carpentry experience.

The company emphasizes transparency and clear communication, and Perry schedules inspections when the client is able to take part so that insufficiencies and needed improvements can be explained firsthand and questions asked in real time. Inspections are priced by home size, with new construction and walk-through options also offered, and radon testing is priced per detector.

Rock Solid Inspections is located on Township Road 1600E in Rock Falls.

The business is known for a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, and for an inspector whose decades of construction and farming experience inform how he evaluates a property. For buyers and sellers around Rock Falls and the wider Central Illinois area, that background is the substance behind the inspection.
