Wasted Youth Tattoo & PMA Piercing of Markham

Wasted Youth Tattoo & PMA Piercing of Markham is a tattoo shop in Markham, IL, offering professional tattoos, body piercings, and fine jewelry. The studio has been serving the Chicagoland area since 2006, bringing close to twenty years of experience in custom body art. In addition to tattooing and piercing, the shop carries one of the largest fine jewelry collections in Illinois, along with in-house anodizing services for titanium and niobium pieces. It holds a rating of 4.60 from customers who have reviewed it.

The studio is built around a focus on cleanliness and safety. Every service is performed in a private room using single-use needles, jewelry, and procedure supplies, with medical-grade barriers and drapes applied to stationary equipment. Thorough disinfection is carried out before and after each appointment, and the space is certified by the Health Department, meeting standards above what state and industry rules require. The artists and front-of-house staff are trained and recertified each year in infection control, bloodborne pathogens, first aid, CPR, and AED. The body piercers are members of the Association of Professional Piercers and were the first in Will County to join the organization. They use both traditional and freehand techniques, working with threadless or internally threaded jewelry made in the USA from 14k and 18k gold, implant-grade titanium and steel, niobium, and North American-made glass that meets ASTM and APP standards.

The crew includes owner and piercer Gregory, tattoo artists Victoria and Megan, front-of-house manager Brittany, gallery specialist Ainsley, and social media and photographer Alyx. The shop carries jewelry from brands including Anatometal, BVLA, Leroi, and Divinity.

The showroom operates from 3 to 8 pm daily, by appointment only, and can be reached at 630-312-8151 or by email. After nearly twenty years in Chicagoland, the studio's combination of licensed, long-standing piercing credentials, an extensive in-house jewelry selection, and a health-department-certified environment sets it apart among tattoo shops in the area.
