Animal Krackers Pet Center of Markham

Animal Krackers Pet Center of Markham is a pet store in Markham, IL. The store carries supplies for all types of family pets, from quality brands of dry foods, refrigerated foods, and frozen foods to a full range of pet supplies. They stock premium pet food brands including Fromm, Evangers, Orijen, and Real Meat, and the staff can special-order items that are not on the shelf. The store also maintains a large fish room stocked with everyday fish as well as exotics.

Animal Krackers Pet Center was founded in Evergreen Park in 1995 by Carl Kogut, who had been working in pet stores since a young age. The original location opened at 95th and Kedzie. When the building that housed the store was due to be demolished, Carl relocated Animal Krackers to 115th and Kedzie, where the larger space allowed the business to expand its supply selection and build what it describes as the nicest fish room around. The store remains independently and family owned, and it identifies itself as the largest independent family-owned pet store in the Chicago land area. Shoppers at the current location can also visit Stan the Man, the in-house Flemish Giant rabbit, along with parrots Zazzo and Kevin.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and can be reached at (708) 389-7248. With more than two decades serving pet owners across the Chicago south suburbs from its 115th Street location, Animal Krackers Pet Center of Markham combines a wide supply selection, premium and specialty food brands, and a large fish room under one family-owned roof.
