Windy City Production is a husband-and-wife wedding photography and cinema studio based in Aurora, IL, serving the greater Chicago market. Sam and Katie have spent 14 years refining their craft, earning a Knot Hall of Fame designation, three internationally-ranked WedAwards titles, and recognition for Katie among the World's Top 10 Women Photographers. They are known for their 14-day delivery guarantee on fully edited galleries and cinema films for their direct packages, a timeline they have maintained since their founding. Sam offers a signature hybrid solo coverage where one shooter captures both photo and video with a cohesive vision. For associate-tier weddings, independent photographers from their network capture the day, but Sam and Katie personally edit every final product to ensure it meets their specific style standards. The studio has maintained transparent pricing on its website since its inception, avoiding vague starting rates or mandatory consultation pressures.

Sam Velasquez, the founder, previously left a master's degree in accounting and a successful DJ company, True Sounds Entertainment, to focus entirely on wedding photography and videography. He founded True Sounds Entertainment at age 20 in 2007 and ran it for years, accumulating over 100 personal reviews, before pivoting to photography after realizing his side work was outpacing his DJ business. He refused to do either job at half attention, choosing to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts. The studio emphasizes capturing wedding days through a refined, personal approach that prioritizes the couple's unique story and the emotional essence of their celebration.

Windy City Production stands among the most-reviewed husband-and-wife wedding teams in Chicagoland, recognized for its international awards and consistent high-quality output.
