Y&K Photography

Y&K Photography is a photographer in Glen Ellyn, IL, located at 22W321 Ahlstrand Rd. It holds a 4.90 rating based on customer reviews. Operated by husband-and-wife duo Yanko and Kalina, the business specializes in wedding, engagement, and event photography. Since 2009, they have captured weddings, elopements, and engagements throughout the United States, the Greater Toronto Area, and internationally. Their photography style combines romantic, classic, candid, and artistic elements, focusing on vibrant colors and gorgeous lighting. They provide a mix of natural-looking posed pictures, traditional classic portraits, and beautifully captured candid moments.

The team approaches photography by building friendships and connections with their clients to understand their specific stories and needs. Yanko utilizes both natural light and flash or strobe photography, while Kalina has an affinity for details and prefers natural light. Yanko loves playing soccer with his kids, is a Nikon fan, and enjoys singing and playing guitar. He loves BBQ and his favorite desserts are ice cream, chocolate, and Kalina’s homemade cakes. Kalina is a hopeless romantic and a chocolate and ice cream addict. She loves baking healthier sweet treats with their kids and has an organic veggie and flower garden. Both enjoy the vows during the ceremony.

To assist with the wedding process, they offer consultations via Zoom, Skype, phone, email, or in-person meetings. They also assist with planning by drafting day-of timelines to ensure photo opportunities are captured. Clients receive next-day sneak peek photos, with final images ready within two to three weeks. Yanko and Kalina met through work, became friends, and realized they were in love. They enjoy walking on small-town boardwalks and parks, riding bicycles with their kids, and making homemade pizza together at least once a week. They started their studio in 2009 to give couples what they did not have when they got married. They can be contacted at [email protected] or 437-998-3133.
