Midwest Ortho First Walk-In Clinic of East Peoria is an orthopedic surgeon in East Peoria, IL, operating the walk-in service of Midwest Orthopaedic Center. The clinic provides urgent orthopedic care for bone, joint, and muscle injuries without requiring an appointment, treating sprains and strains, breaks and fractures, dislocations, lacerations or cuts, sports injuries, and work injuries with prior authorization. On-site services include fracture care with bracing, casting, and splinting, as well as stitches. The clinic reports that its team is able to handle 99% of orthopedic injuries, including concussion-related issues, and is open every day of the week, with weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday hours from 9 a.m. to noon. It serves both new and current patients and maintains separate phone, fax, and after-hours lines for those who need to follow up outside the visit.

The walk-in clinic draws on the full resources of Midwest Orthopaedic Center, with doctors on hand throughout the week to tend to injuries quickly and avoid the long waits often associated with emergency rooms. Summer hours, also noted on the practice's contact page, are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Peoria location. The clinic is positioned as an alternative to the ER for acute orthopedic needs rather than for chronic conditions, therapeutic injections, or visits tied to an existing appointment. Privacy administration for the practice is handled by a director of risk management and quality assurance based at the same Allen Road address.

The clinic sits on North Allen Road, a short distance from West Charter Oak Road and about a quarter mile from West War Memorial Drive, with Big Hollow Creek nearby and Chartwell Park less than a mile away.

With a rating of 4.90 from those who have reviewed it, Midwest Ortho First offers the Peoria and East Peoria area a daily, no-appointment route to orthopedic care for the injuries that most often send people to the emergency room.
