Animal Krackers Pet Center of Dolton

Animal Krackers Pet Center of Dolton is a pet store in Dolton, Illinois, holding a rating of 4.6. It carries supplies for all types of family pets, including quality brands of food, refrigerated foods, and frozen foods, along with a large fish room stocked with everyday fish as well as exotics.

The store was founded in Evergreen Park in 1995 by Carl Kogut, who had worked in pet stores since a very young age and opened the first Animal Krackers at 95th and Kedzie. When the building that housed the original store was due to be demolished, Carl relocated Animal Krackers to 115th and Kedzie, where the business now operates as the largest independent family-owned pet store in the Chicagoland area. The move allowed the store to expand its supply selection and build out what they describe as a standout fish room. Premium pet food brands carried in the store include Fromm, Evangers, Orijen, and Real Meat, with the option to special-order items they do not currently stock. The store is also home to Stan the Man, an in-house Flemish Giant rabbit, as well as parrots named Zazzo and Kevin. Hours run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the contact line at (708) 389-7248.

The store is on West 115th Street. Founded more than two decades ago and still family-owned, Animal Krackers of Dolton offers one of the broadest independent pet supply selections in the Chicagoland area.
