Midway Staffing of Cicero

Midway Staffing of Cicero is a staffing agency in Cicero, Illinois. The agency places forklift drivers, machine operators, material handlers, shipping and receiving clerks, picking and packing staff, production and general labor, fulfillment workers, and clerical and customer service personnel, and it also handles direct hire opportunities. It serves light industrial companies that manufacture and distribute products, taking on recruitment and human resources work so clients can focus on their own operations. Midway Staffing operates 21 locations and staffs more than 5,000 employees each week for more than 225 clients. Client staffing begins with a request form, followed by contact from an account manager, a site visit to learn the operation, and placement of staff. Recruitment draws on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Craigslist, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Instagram, and Facebook, along with local events and sponsorships, registration with the local unemployment office, churches, community centers, back-to-work programs, food banks, and job fairs hosted twice a week at a branch office or other high-volume locations. A call-them-all program reaches everyone in the agency's database by call or text, and advertising runs in churches, newspapers, markets, restaurants, and grocery stores. Retention efforts include continuous workforce development with annual training, sign-on bonuses, a monthly perfect attendance raffle, performance-based bonuses, shuttles and transportation to and from client locations, and weekly pay periods with direct deposit. Midway Staffing has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America for 2019 through 2024. It has also appeared on two Staffing Industry Analysts lists, Fastest Growing US Staffing Firms and Largest Staffing Firms, from 2021 through 2024, and in 2021 was ranked the number one fastest growing staffing firm in the light industrial category.
