Bradley Beam has been making wine for over 20 years, both academically and commercially. He served as the Illinois state enology specialist from 2006 to 2018 and still takes on special projects with the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association. He is also an independent wine making consultant for several wineries in the Midwest. The winery’s mission is to create new products that expand the definition of quality wine.

The first wines from this project are aged in used bourbon barrels for at least 6 to 12 months to add complexity. Warm wood and vanilla flavors are balanced with naturally fruity wine flavor profiles. The barrels add tannin and heat to the finish, creating something like a lower-alcohol, easy-drinking cocktail. The winery sources fruit and other ingredients locally whenever possible and showcases the local artist community in the tasting room.

The business is known for its positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
