Bardenay is proud to be the nation’s first restaurant and distillery. The original Bardenay opened in a brick warehouse on the historic Basque Block in downtown Boise. In December 1999, the Federal Government, through the BATF, issued Bardenay the first distillery permit ever given to a distiller operating in a public space. On April 25, 2000, the business served the first cocktail made with spirits crafted on the premises. Today, it welcomes guests in Boise, Eagle, and Coeur d’Alene, with each location capturing a piece of Idaho. Bardenay Inc. also includes Bardenay Distilling Co. in Garden City and Coyne’s in Eagle. The Eagle location is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 10pm, with happy hour from 2pm to 5pm. Saturday hours are 10am to 10pm, and Sunday hours are 10am to 9pm. Brunch is served on weekends from 10am to 2pm. The restaurant is closed on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The Coeur d’Alene Crab Louie Salad includes chilled crab, hard boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, radish, peppers, onions and scallions with Russian dressing over spring mix.
