Cm Academy of Dog Training

Cm Academy of Dog Training is a dog training business in Muscatine, IA, located at 8905 210th St. It holds a rating of 3.90. The academy offers group classes and private in-home training, helping people create well trained dogs that are great additions to the family. Its training services include basic obedience, behavioral correction, and puppy socialization and training. Basic Obedience teaches essential commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel, and is suited to puppies and adult dogs alike, building a foundation of good behavior, impulse control, and communication between owner and dog through positive reinforcement. Behavioral Correction addresses issues such as barking, chewing, digging, or aggression by diagnosing underlying causes and developing customized training plans using humane methods. The private in-home option suits people with hard to manage or aggressive dogs, or those wanting to jump start puppy training, and also works for people whose schedules cannot fit the group schedule. The goal for all dogs that start in private training is to move into the group classes for the social benefit, and joining group classes is an extra benefit of the private sessions. There is no wait to get into group classes because the classes are not cycled. Group classes include a one-time-a-week, six-week course, a two-times-a-week, six-month course suggested for people with small dogs and puppies to help them through developmental phases such as the terrible twos and adolescence, and a year of unlimited training. Group classes also suit older dogs for additional socialization and fun, and offer a social opportunity to meet other dog lovers. Classes are currently offered three times a week: Monday evening at the Regional Innovation Center at 5:30, Wednesday evening at Ridgecrest Village in Davenport at 6:00, and Saturday morning at Ridgecrest Village at 8:30. The trainer is at class a half hour before it starts to help new people get started or to help with specific issues. Jim can be reached at 563-210-8556 to discuss training options and costs.
