Jordan and Lindsey Andrews opened Heartland Soles in Johnston and Coralville, bringing the same fit-first approach to those communities. The Andrews family later purchased the original Clive store, consolidating operations under the Fitness Sports name. Today, the family runs seven stores across Iowa.

Every location offers free fittings, foot and arch scans, and slow-motion video analysis. Staff members measure width from 2A (narrow) through B and D (medium) to 2E and 4E (wide and extra wide). Customers can order online and pick up at any of the seven Iowa stores. The business matches prices if the same shoe is found cheaper elsewhere. It also hosts weekly group runs and race day tents to support the local running community.

The business is recognized as Iowa's Top Shoe Store by KAYAK. The fitting promise ensures that if a fitted shoe is not right, the store will make it right. The store maintains a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it.
