FinnPREP creates a plan as unique as each student, bringing together a team of experts to support teens and parents through the entire college preparation journey. The organization has helped hundreds of teens get into their college of choice, often with scholarships. Tutors work with teens to improve grades, prepare for rigorous Advanced Placement exams, and build confidence for the ACT. The approach involves an initial assessment to identify areas of weakness, followed by a customized tutoring and study plan that is adjusted as the teen improves. Tutors are vetted for subject-area expertise and coaching ability, acting as academic coaches who motivate teens and support their journey to success.

Communication with parents is a key component of the program. Tutors share practice test scores and grades with parents and help them understand what their teen needs in terms of additional encouragement or assistance at home. Parents can expect to receive texts, emails, or phone calls from the staff after every session. The company also offers enrichment programs for students who require a higher level of learning than they are getting in the classroom, allowing them to study areas above their chronological age or grade level. FinnPREP taps into a network of subject area experts to provide the right support team and changes the team if needed to keep the teen engaged and progressing.

FinnPREP is locally owned and employs tutors who live in the community, drawing on a national network of professionals for college counseling and admissions. The business is known for its positive rating from customers who have reviewed it. Tutors teach productive persistence toward the goal of achieving a high ACT score, and students have averaged a 5-point increase over the last 8 years. The company fosters intellectual growth in exceptional students from all backgrounds and communities, providing an inclusive environment for advanced learners.
