The business was founded after the owner adopted a mix-pit from a shelter that suffered from severe skin allergies and persistent hotspots. After trying numerous kibble brands and repeated vet visits without lasting relief, the owner researched alternative diets while attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2011, the owner discovered a book on raw and natural nutrition for dogs and decided to transition their pet to a raw diet. This experience led to the creation of Hawaii's first and only raw pet food line proudly manufactured locally.
