Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training

Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training is a dog training and boarding facility in Cumming, GA, located at 6140 Dahlonega Hwy. The business serves dog owners across North Georgia and GA with a family-owned lodge designed to provide a calm, structured environment. They offer private boarding in twelve private suites and board-and-train programs for dogs requiring structure, boundaries, or a behavioral reset. The lodge emphasizes a small-scale approach with consistent care, ensuring each dog receives personal attention and steady routines.

The facility limits its capacity to twelve private suites, staffed by the same two caregivers every day to maintain consistency and build trust with the animals. This intentional scale allows for structured outdoor time, quiet rest periods, and personalized attention that distinguishes the lodge from high-volume kennels. Services include transparently priced boarding and training with no hidden costs. The business highlights specific training focuses such as separation anxiety, therapy dog preparation, and general obedience. The approach prioritizes emotional safety and clear communication, aiming to provide peace of mind for owners who value a quieter, more personal alternative to crowded playgroups.

New clients must complete a three-step booking process that includes an orientation form, a meet-and-greet with staff to discuss the dog’s specific needs and behaviors, and the completion of online forms and waivers. The meet-and-greet serves as a tour of the pet resort and a chance to establish rapport between the caregivers and the new guest. Operating hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 10:30am and 3:00pm to 6:30pm. Contact is managed via email at [email protected] or by phone at (770) 733-0836.
