Little Wekiva Brewery

Little Wekiva Brewery is a brewery in Wekiwa Springs, FL. Operating as a neighborhood nanobrewery and taproom, it serves beer enthusiasts with a range of styles including stouts, porters, crisp lagers, and both old and new school IPAs, as well as more unusual offerings. The brewery's story began in December 2011 when Rich purchased homebrew classes for himself and Chris at Sanford Homebrew Shop in Sanford. By March 2012, the two were brewing more frequently using the brew-in-a-bag method, with Chris storing the equipment in the guest shower of his home. In May 2017, Rich and Chris entered a beer in a national homebrew competition; though the judges were critical, Chris remained fond of the Florida SMASH Beer Festival. The inspiration for their flagship Jalapeño Cream Ale came in July 2019 when Rich accidentally spat a piece of jalapeño into Chris's cream ale during a meal together, and Chris unknowingly enjoyed the result.

The brewery sits on Wekiva Springs Road, with Montgomery Road about a quarter mile south. Sanlando Springs and the Little Wekiva River are both roughly 0.7 miles away, and the Seminole County Softball Complex is within three quarters of a mile. Palm Spring lies about 0.8 miles from the taproom.
