The company handles air conditioning service and repair, A.C. installations, air duct sanitizing, maintenance contracts, drain cleaning, and tune-ups, along with emergency air conditioning service for sudden system failures, unusual noises, and complete shutdowns. Its technicians are HVAC certified and hand-picked by owner Bart Holmes, a master technician who holds license #CAC057396; the company is licensed and insured and offers free estimates on AC replacements. Bart Holmes was born and raised in Palm Beach County and began his career in air-conditioning at age 16 through a program offered by his high school. He now has more than three decades of experience, most of it as a contractor and business owner. He remains an active participant in the field, runs one of the service trucks himself, and is often one of the technicians who arrives at a customer's home. He keeps the company at a manageable level so that he stays accessible to both clients and employees.

The business is located on La Mancha Ave, about half a mile from H L Johnson Community Elementary School and roughly the same distance from Todd A. Robiner Park and the H L Johnson Trail. The Village Golf Club and Pond Cypress Natural Area are both about 1.2 miles away, and Royal Pines Natural Area sits about 1.6 miles from the location.

Holmes Cooling and Heating pairs more than three decades of hands-on experience with a 4.80 rating from Royal Palm Beach customers, and its owner still works the trucks himself. For a Palm Beach County homeowner facing a failed air conditioner or planning a replacement, that combination of long local experience and direct owner involvement is what the company brings to the job.
