He went on to residency training at the Cleveland Clinic and completed his training with a surgical residency at Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He has extensive training in wound care and diabetic limb salvage and is the former Medical Director of the Center for Wound Care at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. He also treated limb-threatening wounds at the Bay Medical Center for Wound Healing for many years and currently volunteers monthly at the St. Andrews Community Medical Center, where he cares for uninsured patients. The Panama City Beach office is located in the Cox Pools building, across the parking lot from Healthpoint Medical Group, and sees patients on Tuesday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and Thursday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
