Hja Design Studio LLC

Hja Design Studio LLC is an architecture and planning firm in Palm City, FL, providing landscape architecture, land planning, and project entitlements for clients along the Treasure Coast and beyond. The studio is led by seasoned landscape architects and planners who handle large-scale community master planning, site planning for individual projects, urban design, and public parks, working regularly alongside engineers, architects, environmental scientists, and land use attorneys to build cohesive project teams. Public outreach is frequently part of the studio's project approach, particularly where changes to the natural or built environment raise community concerns. The firm holds a perfect rating of 5.00 based on client reviews.

The studio was founded in 2010 by President Michael Houston, a landscape architect with over forty years of experience. His portfolio spans projects across Florida's Treasure Coast and extends internationally, including Martin County work such as Sandglass Golf Course, Martin Downs, and Hammock Creek, Terra Lago in the Village of Indiantown, the P1 Motor Club private race community in St. Lucie County, and the Vero Beach Resort in Vero Beach. Under his leadership, the firm has also taken on projects in the Middle East, the Caribbean, and South America. The HJA team is recognized for handling complex land use, zoning, and site plan approvals, with an emphasis on communication and proactive problem solving. Mr. Houston's work has earned recognitions including the Florida Engineering Society award for Port St. Lucie's EWIP Stormwater project, the Florida Builders Association award for Loxahatchee Club, and recognition from the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

The office sits on SW Corporate Parkway, about a tenth of a mile from Southwest Martin Downs Boulevard and roughly half a mile from Florida's Turnpike, with Hidden Oaks Middle School about six tenths of a mile away.

Drawing on more than four decades of its president's experience and a team approach that integrates landscape architects, planners, and outside consultants, HJA Design Studio brings the capabilities of a larger practice to clients across Palm City and the wider Treasure Coast.
