About Sun Kiva Kennels
Sun Kiva Kennels is a pet boarding facility in Palatka, FL. Set on 11 acres in a quiet country setting, the kennel offers approximately 75 boarding spaces inside a fully heated and air conditioned building, with six extra large play areas where pets enjoy unrestricted play time. The Kuttler family has owned and lived on the premises since 2006, providing round-the-clock supervision for every animal in their care.
The family operation is led by Karl and Louise Kuttler with the help of their children, Christopher and Jessica. Louise has long been involved in kennel rescue work and treats each boarded pet as a member of her own family. Boarders receive snacks, music, and ongoing attention to keep them comfortable, and pets are treated like family from the moment they arrive. The facility also offers professional grooming so pets can return home looking and smelling clean. Pickup and delivery service is available for pet owners in Gainesville, Melrose, Keystone Heights, Ocala, and surrounding areas, with staff transporting pets and their belongings directly to the kennel.
Sun Kiva Kennels requires health records to be kept on file, with Rabies, Bordetella, and Parvo/Distemper vaccinations mandatory for all boarders. Owners are asked to supply their pet's regular food and treats to avoid stomach upset, with food and treats available for purchase on site if needed. Toys and blankets are permitted, though owners are advised that neighboring dogs may be curious or destructive. A collar and leash must accompany each pet so they can be moved quickly in an emergency. The business maintains a 4.80 rating based on customer reviews, reflecting a strong reputation among those who have boarded their pets there.
The Kuttler family's hands-on approach and continuous on-site presence make Sun Kiva Kennels a trusted boarding option for pet owners across north central Florida.
Sun Kiva Kennels holds a Performance score of 94 out of 100 on BizScoreAI, an excellent rating. This high performance score reflects the website loading quickly, which keeps visitors on the page and is one of the factors search engines use in ranking.
