Owner and trainer Ruth Oneufer has been training dogs for three decades and is certified by the International School for Dog Trainers. She is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and has taught both individual and group classes. Her background includes years of precision training for competition and showing in obedience, rally, and agility, as well as a year of training dogs for bomb and drug detection. Ruth maintains a network of fellow dog professionals, including breeders, conformation handlers, service dog trainers, and those in veterinary care, and continues to take classes and seminars to stay current with behavior theory and new techniques. Ruth's approach emphasizes teaching calm behavior through play and addressing the dog's state of mind rather than relying on drills. Lessons are one-on-one and conducted wherever the owner needs the dog to behave, including homes, offices, warehouses, RVs, and outdoor environments. The school also offers a retraining guarantee if a dog forgets a previously learned lesson. The school is based in Ormond Beach, FL, in Volusia County, and offers its training to dog owners throughout the local area.
