Little Rainbow's Learning Center

Little Rainbow's Learning Center is a daycare in Lake Butler, Florida, serving children from infancy through the early elementary years. The center serves infants up to four years of age and offers a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program, with tuition schedules and a 25-26 school calendar published for families. Little Rainbow's Learning Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm and can be reached at (386) 496-8278.

The center was founded in 1985 by Mrs. Joanne Holmes Hundley, who started Rainbow Daycare as a home-based childcare service for the Lake Butler community. Over time she grew the operation from her home into a dedicated childcare center with four employees serving fifty children, before passing ownership to her daughter, Mrs. Kim Hundley Bailey, in January of 2001. Kim Bailey continues to lead the center as Owner and Director, supported by an Assistant Director, an Office Aide handling billing, a Curriculum Coordinator, a Food Service Lead, and classroom teachers and aides assigned to each age group from infants through fifth-grade afterschool care. The center's mission is to provide a safe, secure, and high-quality education rooted in Christian values, addressing the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of students through the Abeka Curriculum. A dedicated Bible teacher is part of the faculty alongside lead and assistant teachers for the 1-year-old, 2-year-old, 3-year-old, and Pre-K classrooms, and afterschool teachers covering kindergarten through fifth grade.

The center is located at 255 SE 6th Avenue in Lake Butler, about a tenth of a mile from the Union County Public Library and East Main Street, roughly three-tenths of a mile from Lake Butler Hospital, and within three-quarters of a mile of both Union County Adult High School and Lake Butler Middle School.

Now in its fourth decade serving Union County families, Little Rainbow's Learning Center carries forward a multi-generational legacy of Christian-based early education in Lake Butler.
