Scenthound

Scenthound is a Dog Groomer in Jupiter, FL, located at 6390 W Indiantown Rd Suite 52. The business provides routine hygiene and wellness care for dogs, focusing on essential health maintenance rather than just cosmetic styling. Services are structured into three distinct parts: basic hygiene, blow-outs, and haircuts, allowing pet owners to select only the treatments their dog requires. The core Basic Hygiene package includes a bath with towel-dry, ear cleaning, nail trim, and teeth brushing, accompanied by a six-point wellness check. Additional services such as blow-drying, brush-outs, sanitary and pad trims, and haircuts are available as add-ons, with pricing for these extras based on the dog’s size and coat condition. The business also offers tailored treatments including deep conditioning, shedding reduction, antifungal and antibacterial shampoos for skin issues, dremel nail filing, blueberry oatmeal scrubs, and manual anal sac expression.

Founded in 2005 by Tim and Jessica Vogel, Scenthound began as a mobile dog grooming service before expanding to salon locations. The founders recognized that while many popular breeds do not require haircuts, all dogs need consistent routine hygiene to stay clean and healthy. To support this, the business offers three membership options designed to meet routine hygiene needs, with members saving 25% on services. Appointments are designed to be quick and affordable, utilizing a streamlined process that includes towel drying to keep visits efficient. The team uses positive reinforcement techniques and calm, structured handling to reduce stress and build confidence for dogs who may be unsure about routine care.

A key feature of the service is the six-point S.C.E.N.T. check provided after every visit, with wellness insights accessible through the Scenthound App. This technology-based tracking helps monitor changes in the dog’s health over time. The business emphasizes that routine care is preventive health care, aiming to help dogs live longer, happier lives by addressing issues like plaque buildup, skin irritation, and coat matting. Services are available for all dog breeds, with the Basic Hygiene service offered at a consistent price regardless of size, breed, or age.

Scenthound holds a rating of 4.60 based on customer reviews, reflecting the positive reception of its affordable and personalized approach to dog hygiene. The business stands out by educating dog parents on the importance of basic care and providing a convenient, transparent pricing model that eliminates one-size-fits-all service fees.

By combining essential hygiene services with wellness tracking, Scenthound helps Jupiter dog owners maintain their pets' health through convenient, predictable routine care.
