The Redland Company, Inc.

The Redland Company, Inc. is a construction company in Homestead, Florida. It provides full site development and infrastructure contracting services throughout Southern and Central Florida, and works as a transportation contractor as well. The company serves clients across the region with a complete site contracting team, including experienced project managers, an in-house safety department, its own equipment fleet and a maintenance staff. The Redland Company self-performs its own work, and it holds a rating of 4.60 from the customers who have reviewed it.

The company traces its roots to a road contractor, Charlie Munz, who founded Redland Construction more than 50 years ago. Over that half century of change in Florida's landscape and business environment, the company adapted while keeping its crews and equipment out on the road. The Munz family remains involved, now into its third generation, and the company's principals, project managers and field employees bring collective experience to each project.

The Redland Company takes a detail-oriented costing approach, asking questions and probing for answers to define clearly what it proposes to do for prospective clients. That produces more tightly defined projects, fewer change-orders, and fewer chances for delays and cost overruns. The company has never had to pay liquidated damages and has earned early completion bonuses. Its team includes a chief executive, a president, a vice president of construction, a pre-construction manager, estimators, a director of survey, project managers and a business development manager.

The business sits on NE 15th St in Homestead, about a tenth of a mile from Musselwhite Park and from Southwest 177th Avenue. First United Methodist Day School and First Presbyterian Church School are both roughly two-tenths of a mile away, North Krome Avenue is about the same distance, and a bus stop at Northwest 13th Street at Northwest 1st Avenue is about three-tenths of a mile off.

For more than fifty years, The Redland Company has built its reputation in Homestead on self-performed site development and infrastructure work, a record of early completions, and a family name now in its third generation.
