The founder, Jason Hershman, started Wanderlust after a Golden Retriever named Symba came into his life more than 18 years ago. Symba gave him purpose and companionship during a difficult period, and Wanderlust grew out of a wish to create a thoughtful facility that honors the importance of dogs in their owners' lives. The founder and staff describe a commitment to understanding and loving every dog in their care, from drop-off through pick-up. The company operates locations in Eagle and Glenwood Springs, Colorado, alongside the Delray Beach site.
