Home Mattress Center of Newark

Home Mattress Center of Newark is a mattress store in Newark, Delaware, serving customers throughout Delaware and the surrounding communities of Northeast Maryland, Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The store carries mattresses in sizes including twin XL, queen and king, along with foam, innerspring and adjustable air mattresses, and offers a 30-day comfort guarantee, free delivery, financing and a lowest price guarantee. Sleep Doctor technicians deliver and set up each new mattress, and the sales staff helps customers compare models, including matching mattresses sold under different names by other manufacturers. The store holds a rating of 4.80. Founded by the Bloom family in 1965, Home Mattress Center is a third-generation, family-owned and operated Delaware business. Its story began in the mid-1960s when Herm Bloom went to work with his father Georg Bloom at the family furniture store in Media, Pennsylvania; after Georg's passing, Herm moved the business to Delaware. Herm retired in 2018, and Andy and the sales team, known as Sleep Doctors, continue to help customers find their mattresses. The company has earned an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and has for many years been selected as a Readers' Choice award recipient as Best Place to Buy a Mattress. The Newark location is at 770 Peoples Plaza. The business also operates a Wilmington location at 4416 Kirkwood Highway. Both stores are open Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 8. Home Mattress Center has built its reputation on a positive rating from the customers who have reviewed it, alongside an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and repeated Readers' Choice recognition. For Newark shoppers looking for a mattress, that combination of long local history and customer recognition is what the store is known for.
