Grooming By Holly

Grooming By Holly is a dog groomer in Newark, Delaware, working by appointment from a home-based salon at 132 Fantasia Drive. The business brings over 10 years of experience to grooming for dogs of all sizes, including special needs pets, and offers both a short, no-fuss clip and the breed standard, or a plan worked out together with each owner. Services include dog grooming with a haircut, which covers bath, ears, nails and anal glands for dogs up to 60 pounds, and grooming without a haircut for dogs up to 85 pounds, along with de-shedding, paw pad treatment, an aloe hydrating treatment for dry skin and coat, a blueberry facial for tear staining and eye gunk, and a package combining nail grinding, teeth cleaning with a take-home kit, paw pad, aloe and blueberry facial services. Introduction to grooming is available for puppies not needing a full groom, and full service cat grooming is offered as well. The salon is open 9 to 5 every day, including most holidays and Sundays, and holds a rating of 4.70 from customer reviews.

Pets are groomed in the groomer's home rather than in a kennel, so visits are short and low stress, and dogs are kenneled separately or with their own family. The business is registered with New Castle County, licensed and insured, and certified in pet first aid and CPR. A current rabies vaccination is required in paperwork form for all pets over 4 months of age, and pet parents are asked to remain outside the home. Appointments require 24 hours notice to reschedule, with a 10 minute grace period for late arrivals, and new clients are welcomed with a per-pet deposit. Payment is accepted through Cash App and PayPal.

The salon sits on Fantasia Drive, about 0.3 miles from Ogleton-Stanton Road and 0.8 miles from East Chestnut Hill Road. Robert S. Gallaher Elementary School is roughly 0.8 miles away, Rutherford Park and Brookhaven Park are each about 0.9 miles away, and ChristianaCare Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute is about a mile from the location.

Grooming By Holly was chosen as the number one groomer in Delaware by Happydoggo and has been a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite for six years, with customers describing their pets as being in capable and kind hands.
